TU Road Show July 23rd at Jose’s Southwest Grille

The University of Tulsa is taking the excitement of Golden Hurricane athletics on the road in July to Springdale. The
"TU Road Show 2007" presents a great opportunity for Golden Hurricane fans to get an inside look at Tulsa athletics. Headlining the Road Show will be TU Head Football Coach Todd Graham and members of the Hurricane football coaching staff, including Assistant Head Coach and Co-Offensive Coordinator Gus Malzahn. Other TU coaches, administrators and student-athletes will also be present. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided, as will Tulsa posters and the availability to purchase season football tickets.

The Road Show will kick off in Tulsa on July 19th at McNellie's in downtown Tulsa, followed by a trip to
Jose's Southwest Grille in Springdale, Arkansas on July 23rd and will conclude at the Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City on July 26th. Reservations are required for the Oklahoma City event only by calling 1-800-219-4688 or 918-631-2555.

"We are excited about this year's Road Show," said Cunningham. "It is a great opportunity to get to meet with alumni and fans interested in finding out more about TU athletics. We have an outstanding team and staff at Tulsa, and these events give us the opportunity to talk about TU athletics, thank Golden Hurricane fans for their continued support and make new fans."

P.S. The winner of our free Chimi Hendrix T-shirt is Tami Butler. She had this to say why she deserved a free shirt……

Dear Doug,

I need that shirt! My life completely sucks and it would give me at least one bright point to focus on. I work with a bunch of stinky, sweaty guys all day long, 5 days a week. And I get up at 5 am everyday to do it. I have a fish that I have to feed freeze dried blood worms to. My puppy chews up everything in our yard and leaves huge land mines that I invariably step in at least once a week when I'm on my way to someplace else. I live in the middle of nowhere and have to drive an hour just to get to work everyday and to get to bike night on Tuesdays!!! I am going to my 20 year class reunion this month, so you know how OLD I am. I'm not even going to get started on my failing body... the gray hair, the fat, the age spots. I let my coupon for free Joses fried ice cream expire. My Dad died 2 years ago, my Mother- in law has cancer now. My son is a teenaged driver. My husband expects “love” every day. I have hot flashes. And to top it all off, I'm friends with Bobby Anderson. Now I know that you have a lot of smart, funny customers out there. But honestly, are there any more deserving than me???

Reply from Doug:

Damn. You let the coupon expire? You win.
