It is Jose's opinion that the 10% liquor tax that has been suggested by the City Council of Springdale will be detrimental to all existing and future businesses in Springdale. (Not just restaurants.) When we looked at opening Jose's in Springdale almost five years ago, one of the selling points was less taxes in Springdale versus the other Cities nearby. Let's attract businesses to Springdale not run them away! We understand that sales tax revenue in Springdale is vital for city operations but we believe that taxing the consumers and businesses during a huge economic recession is not the answer. We believe that that the City Council should hear from the public before making such a rash decision. A 10% tax is a lot of money and shouldn't be taken lightly. (Just our two cents worth.) Please take the time and visit the City of Springdale's website at  www.springdaleark.org and email the Mayor and your City Council and let them know what you think about this tax.
